So, on Monday 15th June at 11.20am we reached the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. After getting our diplomas we high tailed it to the bus station to catch the 1pm bus to the final place for Pilgrims, Fisterra. Lands end and the most westerly point in all Europe. We didn’t stop to do any usual pilgrim things or visit the Cathedral. There will be time for that on Friday. But for now the sea was beckoning and it was what I had been looking forward to.
We have seen and spoken to many people from all around to world from Guatemala, to South Africa, New Zealand, Argentina and Korea to name a few. No matter where you are from all anybody talks about is where you started your Camino, how far you walked that day and the numerous aches and blisters and that is how all conversations start.
